An oxymoron right? Spiritually awakened & grounded? Is it possible to be spiritually awake and firmly grounded?
Can you be spiritually awake & grounded at the same time?
Well my resounding answer is YES – and I will share with you why,
As a Yoga & meditation teacher you maybe fooled into thinking that my life just effortlessly flows. That it is simple and easy. Well you would be wrong.
Working and providing yoga for all, especially online, and running my own business has its challenges. Take this particular day for instance.
I was filming pre recorded classes and had repeated technical issue after technical issue!!! Mic not working, SD card not formatted. Classes not saved!
And when it comes to technology…………. aarrgh!! I am namaste-ing my way through gritted teeth. My zone of genius is as a Yoga teacher not an online videographer. Eventually the class was recorded taking an immense amount of editing. I then moved onto a Facebook Ad.
Cue much eye rolling, head in hands and eventual tears!! I have spent thousands of pounds on Coaches and trainings including how to do Facebook ads. But of course they change ALL THE FRICKING TIME!!!
The result was I got one video recorded. A semi OK Facebook ad; – and I seriously was DONE WITH THE DAY.
One thing I hate, is feeling that I am wasting my time. Which you would think as a spiritual teacher and mindfulness expert I would understand the deeper message behind my day.
Was there a deeper message behind my day?

This is where your spiritual awakening will support you through your days. Being spiritual does not mean a reluctance to be proactive. It is my spirituality that keeps me grounded.
So yes – some days will still feel terrible and frustrating. Through your spirituality you will become accepting that these days are sent to test you.
1 day in your life.
1 day where you are able to go to bed early and leave it behind.
This is a major factor in your awakening.
Do you find yourself having wasted so much time that you don’t want to stop because then it will ‘be for nothing’.
If you have ever read ‘The Big Leap’ by Gay Hendrix, you’ll know what I mean. Think of a gambler at a cards table in Vegas – they are losing drastically but they keep on playing in the hope to win it back!
That is how we get with time – you keep going (in something that is not your zone of genius) in the hope that you will fix it, get it right and your time will not have been wasted! Can you relate to that?
But your spirituality will equip you with the wisdom to take a step back – see that you are not succeeding in this matter and relax.

Your spirituality will keep you Grounded – in this place, of this time and kept me you in forward momentum.
Pushing, pushing and forcing does not work – allow the time to pass, let your inspiration come and take time for yourself – either on the mat, a meditation cushion or outside.
